I wrote a variety of expressive writings through out the school year. I wrote haiku's, long poems and much more. In these poems, we had to learn the different types of poems and how to use them effectively. In this video, you will see all my poems I have ever done this year. The first poem is about my grandma and the structure changes from the time she was healthy to her being diagnosed with cancer and dying. This poem is the most emotional one out of all of the poems. This essay shows my ability to have flow in my poem and, at the same time, tell a story with the change in tones. My next poem is a Haiku poem I wrote about my mom. This Haiku reflects how I see my mother through my eyes. What I did do well on this poem, was to clearly say how I see my mom while following the Haiku rules. The next two are the same but for my dad and my uncle. The uncle poem includes irony which really makes the Haiku stand out. From these poems I have learned that some poems can be short and simple but can put a point across and long poems have to be very poetic and descriptive.
